Eleutherococcus senticosus is the scientific name for the Siberian Ginseng plant. Eleutherococcus senticosus is a species of small, woody shrub in the family Araliaceae native to Northeastern Asia. The herb grows in mixed and coniferous mountain forests, forming low undergrowth or is found in groups in thickets and edges. The herb is traditional used in Chinese medicine. The roots of the plant are used in dietary supplements and typically go by the name Siberian Ginseng.
