The largest application market segment in 2018 were
dietary supplements for immune system and general health,
with a market share of RMnnn million (or nn.n% of total
dietary supplements market). The segment covers a wide
variety of product categories including vitamin and minerals,
fish oil, probiotics, and others.
Application segments for healthy ageing/beauty, meal
replacement, and bone and joint health were comparable in
size, with market shares of RMnnn million (nn.n%), RMnnn
million (nn.n%), and RMnnn million (nn.n%) respectively.
The three segments accounted for nearly half (nn.n%) of the
Malaysian dietary supplements market in 2018.
Smaller application segments include weight loss at RMnnn
